HERNIA SURGERY TEAM

February 10–15 took our hernia team to Honduras to work at La Providencia Clinic. This was their second mission trip to Honduras. They were able to treat 15 patients there with needed surgery.

I am grateful to have been able to join the team at Sharing Resources Worldwide for my first medical mission trip. We traveled to Siguatepeque, Honduras as a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses to provide perioperative care to children in need. Overall, this experience gave me a glimpse into global health discrepancies and provided me with a greater appreciation for the work I do and the resources available to me.
